National Security and Critical Infrastructure: What You Need to Know

The United States Department of Homeland Security has identified 16 critical infrastructure sectors that are essential to national security, economic stability, and public safety. These sectors encompass physical and virtual assets, systems, and networks, whose disruption or destruction could severely impact the country. Presidential Policy Directive 21 (PPD-21) establishes a national framework to enhance the security, resilience, and functionality of these critical infrastructures.
